“I Like It” and “Tags & Notes”:

Tags & Notes help users to create and manage page tags and small notes. Users can create tags of their own and add page reference to those tags (public/private) just like shortcuts. Users can see public tags of other users. It's possible to tag a Internet site/page link with SharePoint 2010. For this a SharePoint link available in Tags & Notes window that needs to be added in Browser's favorites. Notes help to keep small text content and refer when required.
A user can also mark a page if he/she liked that page. SharePoint 2010 adds two icons "I Like It" and "Tags & Notes" in all the pages to provide this functionality.
In short, a page can liked by a user, can add notes  and tags ( Public and Private ) to it  and if public can be seen by other users. As a matter of fact you can even use this feature in any external pages.
Two icons, I like it and Tags& Notes,  are now available in all the pages of site you create.  When a user clicks on I like it, it is saved as bookmark and when he click on Tags and Notes, small snippets and description can be added to the page which can be set as  private or public by the user. The tags set as public can be used to suggest tags to other users and can be used in search which I will talk about in separate post. Tags can be added to a page or a document.
Q s ; Hc /span>Recommended Items category of web parts, click to add the My Links web part to the page.  There it is!  Right click on the My Links web part title, and copy that URL to the clipboard.
What if you want the My Links link to be more obvious and accessible, though?  Yes, there’s a way to do that also, although it still won’t be the same as it is in SharePoint 2007.  It entails adding My Links to the Personalization Site Links in the User Profile Service Application.
1.     In Central Administration, click Manage Service Applications.
2.     Click the User Profile Service Application.
3.     Click Configure Personalization Site.
4.     Click New Link.

5.     Your URL will look something like that.  In this scenario, I have a web app just for the my sites.  Fill in an owner because that field is required.  Leaving the Audience field blank means that this link will be shown to everyone.
Now, when users are on their My Site, My Profile, My Content, they will see this:
